Treated and Stamped Under One Roof

Most suppliers build the packaging in one place and send it out for treatment. That adds a stop, a handoff, and a day or two — and if the treater is backed up, your sailing is the thing that moves.

We build, treat, and stamp at the same Houston location. The pallet that comes off our line is the pallet that gets marked, and it leaves ready to load.

Certification documentation goes out with every treated load.

Does Your Shipment Need It?

The rule is narrower than most people assume — and wider than some hope.

MaterialISPM-15 Required?Notes
Solid wood palletsYES — if exportingHeat treated and stamped. Domestic-only shipments are exempt.
Solid wood crates & skidsYES — if exportingIncludes framing, cleats, runners, and bases.
Dunnage & blockingYES — if exportingLoose bracing inside a container counts. Commonly overlooked.
PlywoodExemptManufactured with heat and adhesive. Attached solid-wood framing is not exempt.
OSB / particleboardExemptSame reasoning as plywood.
Wood under 6mm thickExemptThin stock falls below the threshold.
The one that catches people: a plywood crate is exempt, but the 2×4 skid underneath it and the solid-wood cleats holding the panels are not. A crate is only fully compliant when the solid-wood components are treated and the assembly is stamped. We handle that distinction as part of the build.

Heat Treatment FAQ

What is ISPM-15?
ISPM-15 is the international phytosanitary standard requiring solid wood packaging material moving across borders to be heat-treated and marked with an IPPC stamp, so it does not transport pests between countries.
What is your IPPC stamp number?
Our registered IPPC stamp is US-169116 HT. Every heat-treated pallet, crate, and piece of dunnage we produce carries this mark.
Does heat treatment mean chemical fumigation?
No. Heat treatment raises the wood core temperature to 56 degrees Celsius for at least 30 minutes. Methyl bromide fumigation is a separate, largely phased-out method. The HT marking on our stamp indicates heat treatment.
Do plywood and OSB crates need ISPM-15?
Engineered panels such as plywood and OSB are manufactured using heat and adhesives and are exempt from ISPM-15. However, any solid wood framing, cleats, skids, or runners attached to them do require treatment and stamping.
Can you heat-treat pallets I already own?
Contact us with the quantity and condition. Treatment of customer-owned wood packaging is handled case by case, and the material must be in sound condition to be marked.
Do you provide certification documents?
Yes. Certification documentation is provided with every heat-treated load.
